High fast but semi clear. Big trout washing down from the "Club". The "Club" is a bunch of guys from Upper Darby who annually put a lot of big trout in the Brandywine off Camp Linden Road. They have a deal with Camp Linden to post an access section off Camp Linden Road. Don't park there are your car might be vandalized. They actually put a "fence" across the Brandywine to hold the fish until the first big rain blows the fence out. Then the trout wash down as far as the museum. Some of the "Club" members are decent guys but most of them appear to be Yahoos.

Hi Fade,
Thanks for the report and welcome to the PAFF forums. Here in the stream reports, we respectfully request the Stream, County, and Date fished. Obviously, everyone knows "WB Brandywine" but for other waters it helps with search function and differentiates one stream from another with the same name.
Thanks,
Backseat Mod

Wannabe Mod. OK it was good Friday and I accidently ate a bologna sandwich that was the root cause of my not catching a fish.

Theres actually no fence across the brandywine, northbrook canoe company cant use the river when the fence was up. I agree most of them are interesting characters. But if you can get permission to fish there it can be a very fun day. Ive caught a few 16" brooks, a beautiful 24" rainbow and my friend caught a 31" palomino. We put them all back, unlike most of the club members.

So wait, the river is open right? because i was planning on floating in my kayak from right near brandywine outfitters(bridge @162) down to the convergence of east and west branches. I could care less about the club's pelletheads. They can have them as long as i don't get shot or end up in some deliverence-like situation. I have an olive kayak, a 6wt, and will probably be chuckin streamers

Hey guys, just a comment. Im a member of "the club" and your right there a lot of colorful guys there. The fence is only up two days before the opening day of the club. The fish are running!!! Good Luck!!

I park on private property in a field. you run the risk of getting your car towed from the field if you arent friends with the owner. You'll be fine going down its about 6-7' higher then normal slightly murky at the moment. I fished from 5-11 today, pretty successful outing. There are supposedly 2 large muskies in the area as well. Ill be out with my hobbie kayak this week coming up after finals are over.

drifted from branywine outfitters down to embreeville in my kayak last weekend. Fished a big sculpin pattern, hoping to pick up a nice smallie, a musky, or maybe a trout that drifted into that section (it's not stocked to my knowledge). Caught a bunch of fallfish. Had 1 fish crush the fly then immediately run to the bottom and wrap me around a stick, the kayak drifted below it and the 4x didn't hold. Couldn't tell if it was a trout or fallfish, but it was probably a fallfish since that's all i caught. Whatever it was it was nice sized, i managed to catch a glimpse of the fish as i drifted over the snag, it was silvery and looked like it was about 12-13 inces.
