I don't know...
The only reason I know his name (IF I know his name) is LONG before all the development around Springton, there was a lone mailbox on the reservoir side of Gradyville Road not far from Route 252 with the name John B. Carson on the side.

After some research, I hereby admit I am, or was a moron living in Delco in the "olden days."
I, Along with most of my friends assumed that the mailbox labeled "John B. Carson" on Gradyville Road in the vicinity of where the "kid chasing ranger" who chased our juvenile delinquent A$$es off places we weren't supposed to be...

Regarding creek water levels, I wrote an email a week ago to a Pa State email address that their environmental website directed me to but I haven’t got a reply yet. I’ll post when I do get one.
Sadly, regarding Springton Dam, anyone driving over the dam on any of the 3 bridges can attest to the pea-green water and at the Rt252 dam during all of September the horrible smell as the now-annual algae bloom dies off. I’ve fished there since the mid 1960s and that was never the case - until 10-`15 years ago when the clear water turned seriously stained. I’m not certain, but I think the setback distance for development/activity on PA waterways was halved during Gov. Corbett’s administration, but I may be incorrect on that.
Also, since Marcus Hook’s pier is now shut down, I don’t know of a single location to safely bank fish in the Delaware River from Delaware County. If someone does, please let me know as I liked fishing for perch, catfish & an occasional striper but the locations I’ve been directed to aren’t optimum (safe) for taking kids there. Thanks all.

Well, I sent an email to the site/address listed on the State’s website a month ago asking if they had any info on SEPA creek water level trends - but I haven’t received a reply.
I’ll tie a bunch of streamers & poppers for lake fishing if the creek levels are low in ’26. It’s fun wading the banks and casting in front of the brush and also swinging out into deeper water, but I’ve been sad re: the average creek levels being low after the April rains abate.
