Started on lower Walnut project waters, landed one fresh jack on a BH nymph. Nothing after that but pesky smolts. Headed to lower Elk, rolled one there on a white bugger. Finally stopped at upper elk on the way home, found quite a few fish in the shallows paired up, but they weren't interested as usual and likely heavily fished over by then too. A mix of fresh and old fish by the looks of them. Some impressive van-sized chunks of ice still along the creek banks.
