Walnut Creek, Erie County, 12/27/2008

Fished Upper Walnut Creek in Erie, regardless of the look of the Walnut gauge at 6 this morning. Water is extremely high and fast, couldn't get to far up from the Manchester Hole because of the crazy wind and waves.

Ended up hooking two steelhead, both got off in the swift current. Like I said earlier, the water is the color of chocolate milk and will probably be blown out for quite some time.

Nice breaking in my 9 foot 6 weight though..

Only saw a few fish landed, all by baiters.

There has been a big drop in temps along with gusty winds this morning in Erie. I suppose we are all in store for this at some point today.
