Was able to spend a little time on the Yough tonight practicing my mechanics and getting a feel for the new rod. I made enough decent casts to be encouraged, and dealt with zero tangles even in a steady breeze. Very grounding and relaxing to get my feet wet. My 1st solo fly trip 👍 Also, 68F, slightly stained water. Lots of skimmers, didn’t see much flying
