Fished the DHALO section of West Valley Creek near Exton on Sun. Water temp. was a brisk 34 according to my thermo. Water was low and clear. Spooked numerous fish while walking the stream banks. Fished one deep pool and managed to catch 6 rainbows ranging from 8" up to about 16", all recently stocked fish. Fish were taking anything small..mostly size 16-18 nymphs. Prince nymphs and small black stoneflies seemed to be the fave.
My goal is to fish a new body of water every weekend...hopefully off to E. Branch Brandywine this weekend.

Thats what I usually do. Nothing like exploring and sometimes you find a lovely piece of wild trout water with some decent sized fish. Nothing will ever replace the experience you gain from fishing various types of water with different situations.

Is that last fish a holdover/streambred? It has a completely different coloration than the other stockies.

I highly doubt it is stream bred...this stream doesn't have great water quality or habitat. It may be a holdover from fall though.
