Fished from 145 pm to 345 pm.....managed 7 total wild brownies.....2 took an attractor dry and the other 5 were taken on size 16 BH flashback pheasant tail nymphs.......broke off two fish on the strike.......nice foggy day to catch some wonderful wild trout........
I used an 8'6" 4 wt fly logic FLO+ rod and matching FLO 456 reel....
it was a little too long for the creek.....spent as much time taking flies out of branches.......not casting.......walking from spot to spot....kept getting hung up...................my 7 foot 3 wt would have been much better suited for this tiny stream.......but the 3 wt reel is out of commission at the moment........
lots of small bugs in the air.............the rises to the attractor dry were awesome.......really fun to watch....especially when it is January.............
