Time: 10am-2pm
Flow: 170cfs
Water Temp: ~50
Flies: Small emerald shiner streamers
Caught: 4 steelhead

First time trying Ohio and Spring steelhead, fished the area around Bacon Woods/Mill Hollow on the Vermilion as I passed by for a work trip.
River was somewhat disappointing compared to PA tribs I usually fish in the fall, I walked over 2 miles and found maybe 3 or 4 spots that looked like typical fishable holding water. But at these small spots fish were aggressively feeding. I was able to get 3 decent steelhead and a giant hen over 30" that was probably my best steelhead ever. Well worth the stop, I will have to explore more of the Ohio tribs in the future.

I think you passed the Grand, Rocky, and Chagrin rivers on your way to Vermilion. I think those three have more "good water", with excellent access.

I fished the Chagrin a few weeks ago for the first time and I was impressed.
