got there around 3. my dad wanted to go so had to wait for him to get done work. i was planing to fish the section under the dam but it was packed. looked like opening trout day at a stocked creek. went above the yellow bridge. nothing really happening till around five a group of fish started to take small stones. as soon as i tyed up the bite was off. put on a BH black wooly bugger and hooked up to a 7 inch brown. my dad got one on a gray scud.

I fished the covered bridge stretch yesterday from about 11:30 to 1:30. I used a copper john and midge larvae tandem setup the whole time. The first hour was rough for me, trying to make longer casts up stream than I should have tried; the bare trees are deceiving and leave no less room than they do when they're leafed. Anyhow, after a foul hook-up, two of the worst tangles I've had in years, several swear words, and falling in some mud, the sun came out and the bite was on. Caught four fish in four different spots, walking back to my car. The last one was about fourteen inches, I'd day-- my biggest yet at Valley.

Beautiful day.
