Heard this morning fishing the LL from a valley regular 100 or so wilds were found dead. Commpany was fined $10,000 that's why he decided to come up here. Not sure if this is truth or rumor just an FYI

Spoke to a park ranger today at Valley. She was there with voluteers catching crayfish. Apparently there's an invasive species intruding with the natives. They also have a tougher exoskeleton making them harder for trout to digest. Luckily she said they were catching mostly native crayfish.

But I digress. She said that there was a fish kill a couple months ago, as I'm sure you all know. They were finding dead fish but mostly upstream near the spill in the Little Valley, too many where we were (just up from the white bridge, not the covered bridge the further one).

She also said that there seemed to be another spill just a couple days ago, not as large. The rangers had heard of but not seen any dead fish save one, which they are getting tested. The chlorine levels when they got to testing were low as well. So to sum up, they don't have the evidence to peg Peco again.

I didn't see any dead fish, but it would not surprise me at all if there was another fish kill. The creek looked awful.

Thank you Phil, I didn't realize that the pictures in that thread were from the second, more recent spill, but you motivated me to read more carefully!

That's really bad! How do they discharge that much filth into a creek? What is it? I'm surprised it didn't make the paper.
