Valley Creek, Montgomery County, 3/8/10

Beauty of a brown!!! Nice job too fishing at night and it's not a full moon too 😉 Must have been very difficult wadding/casting too.... I'd say it's 15inches...but I have no idea how big your hands are... did it put up a fight or was it a roller?

Very nice Fish, and good photos too!

More proof that there are some "decent" sized fish in there, aside from the guppies that we normally catch. ;^)

i am surprised the police let you keep fishing, because almost everywhere"the park closes after sunset!"

congratulations on a nice brown, and the photos are great too.

About 12 years ago a buddy and I used to fish Valley quite often. I can remember down about 50 yards or so from the dam there is a section where the banks are very high and the water was deep and dark green. It was not very accessible to fishing. Anyway one day we were spotting for fish from a top the banks and witnessed about 5 or 6 brownies all being well over the 20" mark. They were huge and were spooked immediately once we took one step. I can remember a picture of a 22" brown that my old gym teacher had hanging in his office that was caught from Valley. The best I ever did was 14". I think there are an abundance of huge trout in there especially in the deep holes that are not very accessible. We also saw a school of huge catfish, which was odd, but I guess catfish are everywhere. I now live in NJ and very much miss fishing Valley Creek. They are in there.

That's a really awesome fish Mariner, I've yet to even see a wild brown that big on any stream. Nice job!
