fished valley today air was around high 70's didnt take water. fished one section of water with a good amount of fish in it. they were rising on something most likely a midge. saw some ants so tyed on a Sz 16 ant. fish were checking it out but not hitting it. finally changed it up and casted on the fish insted of drifting it over them. hooked up first fish on a dry this season. was about 8 inches with great colors. got some more lookers on the ant but no other takes.

I fished it yesterday,very briefly, and saw them taking something as well. Could not get them to take a dry but finally got couple of fish by casting size 16 tan caddis emergers right to the risers. I guess my flies were 6" under the surface or less. Didn't even think about trying something like an ant or beetle,good idea togo off the board every once and a while.
