I figured I would go check out valley for a while tonight. I fished before dark for around an hour and a half. The water was perfect. It had come back down since the storm the other day. It was not too low and had a nice tan color instead of being crystal clear. I didn't take the temp but it felt really cold especially for summer. I got one fish, a little guy, around 4-5 inches. He took a size 14 parachute black ant off the top. I didn't see any fish rising. But just felt like fishing dries with my new rod. There was one nice looking fish, around 12 in. behind a rock right by the metal bridge. I was suprised to see him since usually can't spot fish from up on the bridge. I got him to take my fly once but he spit it and dissappeared. The conditions were so perfect that I wish I went a couple hours earlier.
