Valley Creek, Chester County 7/14/12

Got there at 5AM while it was raining was gone by 9. Water temp was a cool 63 degrees and still drizzling when I left. Water was up and off color to muddy depending upon where you were. Saw no rising fish but they were not hitting streamers, they were anhilating them. Lost many more than I landed but landed a fair number. Once the stream started to clear up, they turned off.

Don't like fishing VC this time of year but the rain made me do it! :-D

Now, poaching is a serious problem????? Where the hell do you come up with this stuff, Pete? We found a small piece of a gill net with two small trout in it (one survived). Not a good thing, but hardly rampant!!!!! Please.

Midge - I haven't lately hunted Trikes on Valley. But decades ago, I found Trikes on quite a few surprising streams, but not Valley.
