Valley Creek, Chester County, 7-13-19

Fished from dawn until about 830. Water was high (around 62 CFS) and stained thanks to Thursday's monsoon! Water temp was in the low 60's. Even with the high flow and good temps, you still want to be off the water EARLY! One thing I really like about Valley is how different the stream becomes after every major rain event. It's almost like fishing a new stream each time. Used pink SJ and an inchworm. Best day I've had on VC in several years. Not going to get into numbers but got fish in almost every little run. Landed probably 75% of the hookups. Got 1 really nice one for the stretch I was fishing, about 12 to 13"

That's a beautiful fish for Valley. I've only ever caught a few there that size. I know they are there though. Good job!

I thought you fell off the face of the earth. Glad to see you are still knocking them dead. We need to get together and fish again sometime. BTW George that is a really colorful brown. Sounds like you had a good time.

That's a beauty! I fished Friday the 12th and found good fish after conditions improved from the overnight mudslides....
