Jay348 and I fished valley creek for a few hours this morning. It was a great morning to be on the stream and luckily we found some cooperative fish. I was surprised to find that the water was 58. We saw very few rises or insect activity and so we fished nymphs for most of the morning. Between the two of us we brought about a dozen fish to hand, mostly on caddis nymphs.

Wildtrout, I didn't measure, just took the hook out, snapped a picture, and sent him or her on their way. In my estimation i think it was well shy of 14'. Probably closer to 12 or maybe 13 with a stretch, but it was well fed, good looking, and feisty. Definitely a nice fish and one of the better ones i've caught at valley.

fished it yesterday morning before work and caught three on top in about 10 min (only after I had been there for an hour). Water was receeding and stained from the rains. Once they started rising it was game on.
