Valley Creek, Chester County 6/1/10

I had a similar incident with the green jeep guy. I asked how the fishing was and he literally yelled at me and told me to get lost. Guy has some serious problems.

LOL.....yup that's him ;-) You almost have to feel sorry for the guy.......

Yeah it was unbelievable. The week after I saw him and all he would do is point upstream and downstream to see which was I was working. I guess "hey which way you moving?" is too much interaction for him.

got to valley yeaterday around 6 and stayed till 8 fish were rising on something. i caught your typical 6 or 7 inch valley creek wild brown had some nice color. #20 bwo should gone smaller but thats the smallest i had. what weight rod do most of you guys fish on valley my 5 weight is way over kill for the most part. im thinking 2.

A 2wt is a toy (a very fun toy), and IMO, has no practical use anywhere. If you want to fish it, it'll work, but it's not optimal anywhere.

I like an 8' 4wt on valley. I fish it an awful lot, and the 4wt is always the most effective rod for me. Your mileage may vary.

I agree with Jay, I like my 7.5 4wt on valley

seems that EVERYONE who fishes valley has had a run in with jeep guy, hilarious! I am unfortunately not exempt from that!

Giantsjim, I haven't been over at valley in weeks, glad to see you have been doing well, nice fish!! Hopefully I'll catch up with you over there soon!

I love my 2wt and find as a pure dry fly rod it is perfect for Valley which I fish more than any other stream. My 7'6" 3wt is my all season Valley rod and at times I wish it were a 7'. 8' is overkill for me at that location.
