Fished in the park from 11AM to 2:45PM. The water was at a very good level after yesterdays rains. The water was mostly clear and about 48 degrees. The insects are starting to become more active. There were black and tan caddis hatching. I also saw very few Sulfers and small olives coming off as well. I saw a few fish rising to the tan caddis. I caught about a dozen fish on a soft hackle scud pattern. The higher flows make nymphing much easier.

nice little report - thank you. were there many out ? this is a good time to fish VC IMHO not too hot !

Was out on Valley yesterday as well, landed 12 on dries. A few bugs in the air and the fish were certainly looking up. Handful of Sulphurs around
