Fished Valley today from approximately 12:00 to 2:00pm.
Light rain falling for all but 15 minutes or so. Water has cleared nicely, but is still slightly tinted.
Conditions seemed like they'd produce a good day, and for the most part they did. Hooked up 7 or 8, brought 5 to hand. All fish were taken on an size 18-20 RS2 or loop wing emerger in gray or olive size 14-16.
A few "big" fish were rising under the turnpike bridge, to what I'm not sure. Two of them gave me first cast (and lousy casts at that) takes on an elk hair caddis, both of which I missed completely.
Brought along a friend who caught his fish on a fly rod, and the biggest of the day at that.
