Valley Creek, Chester County, 4/19/2016

Sulfurs even on the Pennypack and Wissahickon this week, not many, but they were there the last few days.

Yo chri

re "Its not to heavy but yes the past week or more I have been seeing sulfurs coming up in numbers where it worth putting on a fly to match. It was pretty sweet seeing!"

Good news indeed. 15 years ago, Valley had serious sulphurs and caddis. After a couple of hurricanes, they were more than decimated (decimation involves a 10% reduction). If 1 or 2% showed in the ensuing years, that was a lot.

Caddis started coming back in the fall several years ago, and each year has gotten better. Glad to hear sulphurs may be on the same track.

Indeed they do

Just got back from VC. Best day ever. 19 to hand and missed as many. Sulfurs and BWO hatches from 3P until dusk. The fish were "bobbing" vertically while taking flies on the surface. It was cool to just sit a watch.

With 252 closed it is real quiet through the valley. Sorta like it.
