Fished Valley yesterday outside of the park from 11:30 - 2:30. Water level was LOW for this time of year and gin clear. Decent BWO hatch from 12:30-2:00 with the overcast skies. Picked up one early on size 20 pheasant tail. When the hatch started, the rising fish were holding in very difficult places to fish and were extremely picky. Tied on a 24 BWO that I picked up quite a few fish on last weekend and got plenty of refusals but no fish. Lots of duns on the water, yet the fish were just keying in on duns that were actively struggling to get off water. I found myself watching fish feeding more than I actually fished. We need some rain here in SE PA and it doesn't look like it is going to happen today.
