Valley Creek, chester county, 2/5/2010

Fished valley today from mid-morning to early afternoon. Flows were at 33 cfs and low pressure moving in.
Lots of midges today and just had to fish dries. Got 4 on top and the rest were on nymphs. Lots of fish activity observed, but put a lot of them down even with a 2wt and master casting skills . Meet a nice guy on the stream who was somewhat new to the area and spent a lot of the day showing him around. Made his day and was nice to pass along the local knowledge. Lots has change on this creek in the last few months, again, but the usually spots still produced.

It's running at about 38 cfs right now, if it were to warm slightly, I'd love to hit it tomorrow. I don't think that is in the forecast. I thought about fishing Valley yesterday and now after reading your post wish that I had.
