Water: Clear; 45 deg @ 11:15
Bright sun until about 3:00 then cloud cover moved in.
Insect activity: minimal; a few midges here & there;

The bite was slow. I missed a couple feeble takes and landed two little ones on a #20 Rainbow Warrior. I spent a significant amount of time searching for my lost cell phone though, so the catch of the day was really an iPhone 7.

And that's why some angler's leave their phones at home or in the car when they fish. One of my friends bent down over his ice fishing hole as he was giving the tip-up line a jerk to hook a channel cat. His phone dropped out of his chest pocket and went straight down the hole. That was the last time that he took his cell phone when fishing. So, believe me, you are not alone in having cell phones ruin or shorten a fishing trip.
