Valley Creek, Chester County 11.2.2016

Too nice of a day to stay inside. 72 degrees. Clear. Water clear, cold and low. Typical Valley Creek.

Fished below the dam for a bit. Two small browns. Moved upstream between the bridges. Picked up two more in the 7-10" range on dry's Missed a few. Small midges and BWO's around.

I think it was better when the road through the park was closed. People are back to racing through there.

Isn't getting close to the spawn, later this month?

I remember some years ago people used to go and watch as the fish from the river came up and had to jump the dam just upstream of Rte. 252. Wondering if that's worth a look see.

With the water being low (seems like everywhere in the SE and SC) how they'll do this year.

Haven't been to Valley in a couple of years but hopefully over the fall/winter we start getting some more rain, snow et al and the water levels go back up making for a good early spring outing.
