Surprisingly slow day at VC today. Expected good conditions and activity, but got nothing of the sort. Fished 12-6pm. Fish were rising throughout the day, but only sporadically. Was unable to determine what they were taking. Had missed takes and follows on about 5 different patterns.
Only ended up landing 3, 2 on a fb prince, one on an HE. Emergers, which have been very reliable there recently, were useless to me.
Friend got skunked. Conversations on the stream with a couple strangers suggested others were having a tough day.
Either they got pounded over the weekend, were inactive otherwise, or I wasn't the only lousy fisherman out there today.
