Valley Creek, Chester Co., 3/15/09

Fished Valley Creek around the interstate overpass from 2 PM to 4 PM. Overcast and about fifty degrees. A dozen fish were rising in the run I fished. Caught five and missed a dozen or so. Fished a size 18 and 20 BWO parachute exclusively.

Fished from 1:00 to 5:00 near iron bridge. Plenty of 18's and 20's bwo's and midges. most fish caught on parachute, another on wissahickon midge. It was over around 4:30. Still some cripples in the eddys at 5:00.

I saw you and another guy fishing the first good bend above the bridge as I was leaving. One of you was on the cell phone. You mentioned in the other stream report on Valley that you were with a client. Were you guiding or with a client from some sort of professional relationship? Glad to see someone else was able to enjoy a good day on Valley Creek.

I guide for the Sporting Gentleman. I usually don't take too many clients to Valley but the guy I was with is an experienced angler. I keep my clients at spots inside the park. If you know whatI mean.
