Valley Creek, Chester Co., 1/28/18

Fished outside the park yesterday. The warmer temps and rain switched the trout into feeding mode yesterday. Air 50-ish and raining; water measured @ 47 at 12:00. Light hatch of little stuff that were not midges... Olives?
Landed 6, ranging from a couple of 4" fish up to 11". Missed a bunch more and broke off a very nice fish in some blowdowns. Used zebra midges and PT nymphs in #18-22.

Good stuff! I had the distinct feeling that I must have fished behind someone yesterday, perhaps you, perhaps a half a dozen others who came out in the mild weather, because I had a tough time getting 3 or 4 small fish to take a midge. I moved about 4 decent fish with a streamer, but even they looked spooked. The rain did not move the gauge or stain the water much where I was, but it was a nice day for a walk anyway!

Yeah I felt the same way on Saturday, definitely a lot of pressure on the creek this past weekend.

My buddy and I said the same thing! The stretch I fished seemed to be almost devoid of fish in the usual hangs, but still managed to pick a few up. I had an awesome day tho regardless. I was hoping that we were gonna get more rain and valley would be up.
