Valley Creek, Chester Co. 01/12/2014

last trip i saw two, last time in the park in saw 1/2 a dozen over the morning.

maybe i'm just unlucky me.

When I was last there we saw 2 as well. Which, to me, was a lot. But both fished for very short time periods and stayed pretty close to the cars, so they didn't really bother us.

I have always fished down stream from the covered bridge. I would like to try up stream from there. I drove home up Rt252 yesterday but didn't see anywhere to park. Where is a good place to park and fish the upper part of Valley Creek? By the way I was skunked yesterday and saw three other fishermen--they were skunked also!

Went out Friday checked out a few streams in Delaware county, found a few runs to fish with out killing myself. Got 6 total for the day. Did not see anyone else on the stream. Did not check out Valley since I saw a lot of backed up traffic on my gps. Gonna give it a shot later today.

I love that third shot . That's a weir or dam right ?

What a joke. I fished it today and saw exactly zero other fishermen. But stay away. It's getting pounded. Please!!!!!

I only see one guy every time I got.. and that SOB is catching all the fish.. thanks for that Englishprof....

Is there parking on Wilson road in the park? I'm new to the area wanted to try and hit up the stretch below the turnpike.

Get there early parking is hard to find at Valley
There was big sewage spill in the park in February so fishing there may be tough.

Anyone have an update since the spill?
Are you even allowed on the water yet?
Fish kill? Anything?

I was there a week ago Friday to fish and the park service had posted signs warning people not to touch the water because of high bacteria count. I decided to be prudent and not fish. The water 'looked' fine.
