Valley Creek, Chester Co, 01/02/11

Hit Valley early this morning, about 8:15 with a steady drizzle. Fished upstream stripping steamers back and had 4 browns landed and released by 9:00. No hatch activity until around 11:00, as I was leaving I saw a very small cream/white midge. I was a little suprised as none of the fish I caught were the usual smaller browns, about 6", that I usually get. All fish landed were close to 10". Not complaining but was wondering where the "dinks" were? BTW, as far as brown trout go, Valley has the greatest coloring around with that deep buttery golden yellow that I can look at forever.......

Andy nice post,haven't been able to hit Valley lately. I can't walk very far so I have to fish easy accesss streams. Happy New Year

Lou - Sorry to hear your not moving around well. Hope you feel better soon. I know the feeling, I have 2 herniated discs in my neck and my right arm and hand go numb alot. Oh well at least I could get out and fish today. Too bad I missed out on your Lehigh get-together and the chili! Take care of yourself.
