What a day. I started fishing at the metal bridge at 7am and stuck around until 3:30pm. Got my first fish about 15minutes into the morning and it was a good one, 12" brown on an olive crystal bugger. Then went several hours without a fish, but with a TON of activity. I was getting hits on dries on top but couldn't set the hook, must have missed five or six. Around 10am, I caught a 9-10" brown on a caddis. Caught 4 more in the 8" range and had two "long releases" that were nice fish from the looks of them. Water was a little high and cloudy and the weather was cloudy with occasional rain. All in all, one of the best days I have had at VC.
