Valley Creek 6/27/09

I come in off of Rt 422 East, and take the RT 23 exit. Make a right at the light, and at the next light make another right, I beleive this is RT 23 East, this will take you through the park and take you down to Rt 252. Hang a left, there are spots along the road to park. Hope this helps

Hit Valley last night from about 5-8. Tough fishing, water is very clear and low. Water was about 65. Got two on a fur ant, fished wet. One was a fingerling though. Missed some strikes on a parachute ant on top. Also tried scuds, beetles, and a streamer with no success. Here's the better of the two fish:

One little tip I learned about fishing scuds is to take a little dirt and rub it into the fly to help it more closely mimic the natural. Scuds live in a mucky environment and I think that it helps give the fly a less sterlile look. Scuds are most certainly a Valley staple.
