Fished Valley Creek yesterday late afternoon to about 6:30. Caught 3 nice fish, two on a size #16 or 18 bead head pheasant tail and one on a #16 elk hair caddis. There were lots of BWOs coming off but I didn't have a small enough dris to get any attention. They must have been taking size 20 or 22. One hole had a group of about 6-8 nice size fish rising heavily in a seam line. Had a bunch of refusals and finally caught one on the elk hair caddis. Picky fish!! Nice day on the river.
