Fished Valley today from 2:30-3:30.
Water level was a little high when I arrived but clear.
water temp. was 50 degrees farenheit
Air temp. was 49 degrees farenheit

Picked up two fish on a 16 Scud and a size 24 midge. I also missed a bunch. Damn hawk flying around distracted me and the ducks! :-D Great day to be out fishing.....it was beautiful out today in SE PA. :-D

Any sign of Brokaw?

Yeah actually...I just don't want to rub it in on here that Tom and I are boys. Since you asked he invited me for some surf and turf and a bottle of 89 Dom in his limo.

I would love to hear Tom drunk.

You can def. hear him but understanding him is a whole different ball game.

Not sure what is up with the Brokaw talk, but that first fish is a good brown... How long do you think it was? What section of VC did you fish?

The brokaw thing is kinda an inside joke between Acristickid, JayL and I. I would say close to fifteen or a little better(not completely sure though). I caught that fish in the park. I have fished private water in VC and caught the same size fish too.

To me they're all nice fish....regardless of size. I am just happy to be fortunate enough to fish for them.

Do you drive a green cherokee??

Keep working those scuds and midges for when you get to the Horn. Nice browns and I have fished that section many times. If you can catch browns in Valley you will nail em big time on the Horn! You will swear that the river was stocked just for you.

Funny thing about Lockjaw, I mean Brokaw. He has a "ranch" just on the other side of the mountains from me, on the west Boulder. I've seen him a few times in the Grand in Big Timber. He has kinda rubbed a few Montanans the wrong way though.

I'm sure he has.....I really am longing to get out there. I had a dream last night about fishing th Big Horn!! I have a problem I think!!! I am totally down for a night time float when we are out there!!!

Nice pics and fish, cant get over the colors of these browns. I think i might actually start stopping by valley to give myself a couple more shots at these fish. Do you recommend anything specific fly wise in the next couple days? 99.9% of the time im fishing nymphs and small midges under an indicator.

What kind of scuds do you usually fish? Got any pics of them? The scuds i have tied up are probably too big, i think the smalled i made was 16.

Mute, I sent you a PM

I've been on the fence Don...I'm coming to Montana!!! I can't pass this up!! It's gonna be fun!!

Valley kicks *** though!!!

Big deal!!
Did you ever fish with Larry King?
Larry can put lots of flies on his suspenders.

Nice fish on a small fly.

Nice fish, definetly bigger than te average fish to come out of valley. Any olives coming off?

Dont want to sound like an a$$ but those fish really shouldnt be laying on the rocks. I like pics as much as the next guy but those fish are fragile (must be italian)
