Hit the creek yesterday with Aducker and Volkesnurse. Water was slow and clear but the day was beautiful. Saw some caddis on the surface and in the air (arnd 1PM) and by 2:30 – 3:00 BWO and midges could be seen but not many fish rising.

Had a decent amt of takes on a WB and PT and finally broke my VC cherry which just made a good day on the water with good people even better … even if it was a long line release!

Excuse the non-expert report as I’m not up to speed on the complete FF lingo.

No excuses necessary, you did fine. Well, other than hanging out with the wrong crowd. 🙂

Congrats on your first VC brown.

We had a lot of fun. I think we spent more time laughing and joking than fishing🙂
The highlight was watching Staggers reaction when he caught a fish. The look, the smile, the words that came out of his mouth were Priceless🙂

Everytime I fish with someone from the forum I always have a good time. Even you pcray, except you make me work too hard 🙂 lol

I needed a day out like that after being in the house most of the winter. Thanks Volkesnurse and Stagger

Congrats Stag. I knew you could do it! I'm sure Volks was a tad excited too! I showed him how to do the Fox Call for a first fish moment!

Way to go Andrew!

I remember last year at this time - you barely knew which end of the rod to hold.

After the pre-Fish & Chips day (when I cleaned your fly line), we were all sitting around getting ready to head out, and you headed off to fish by yourself. We were all smiling at your dedication and enthusiasm.

Here's to many more fish to come! 😛int:

Great stuff Stag Lee- that place is special and a great / tough place to learn.
Love hearing about progress and your growing obsession. That's a wild brown!
I was out there stepping past the numerous spin fishers yesterday myself. Crowded huh. One guy I swear had a deep sea rod! 😉

Had my best ever day fishing the dry. (7x tippet). It was a blast

Congrats Stagger Lee!

Congrats guy. I can still remember showing you how to tie knots last year. Your coming along just fine. Just remember everyday on the water is another piece of the puzzle.

I probably walked right past some of you guys that were over there... I was with my wife and had my baby girl on my back in a hiking pack. Even when I can't fish I just enjoy going to the park to take a walk and it was nice to see so many people out and enjoying the day... I did cringe when I saw the guy with the deep sea rod.

Hope to see all you guys this spring and summer.

NickR ... glad you said ur lil girl was on ur back pack or else Ducker would be questioning u if she was one of the kids throwing rocks in the hole he was working.
