I had off of work today and I decided to fish Valley. Last night Valley was up around 600cfs but if you know Valley, then you know that it drops fast.

I arrived on stream at 11:30am to find that the flows were up and the water was off color. I took a quick temp reading and it came to 42 degrees. I figured it would be a great day to throw a streamer. Typically when the water is off at Valley I like to throw a white bugger, but I was sad to see that I did not have any.

I tied on a size 10 black beadhead bugger and started to fish. I spent the next few hours in the stretch between the wooden covered bridge and the large parking lot. I was only able to bring on to hand. I missed four other fish.

Nice fish and report, Steve. From what I hear, a single fish, in winter, on Valley is a good day.

Saw a bunch of anglers out there today, I had to meet someone for lunch in Kimberton. Drove through the park around 11 am saw a few on the stream was planning to fish after lunch. Needless to say hung out longer than expected drinking beers and catching up on the way home saw a bunch of people on the stream. Water looked great!
