USGS Map?

I am having trouble accessing data from the USGS map.
Streams I want to get info from are highlighted.
But when I hover over with mouse the stream name does not appear.
And when I click on it no data appears.

Bookmarking is my main issue.

You can't bookmark directly to the GIS page, it doesn't upload correctly. You have to bookmark to the general page with links then enter the trout map from there.

Yeah that the old site and you bookmarks will be no longer working. Here are some of the details and changes:

USGS stream gauges are a daily online essential during the fishing season, alongside weather and mapping apps. For me, the primary feature is monitoring water levels in a specific stream or region. Knowing the water levels and the direction of flow changes can make all the difference in angling plans.

The USGS has had this online system in place since before 2000 with very few changes over the years. Updates to the interface have been due for quite some time, and this year, there will be many changes.

The USGS is making the final push to update the interface we see...

Am I reading the new USGS map correctly, when it reads the current cfs flow at the Kettle Creek gauge is 1770 cfs? Or, is it a malfunction?

Given all the snowmelt we've had lately, I'd say its prolly right.

We also had a pretty good rain here in the burgh yesterday.
If that went through NC PA also - it would have certainly added to things too

I just checked out the updated USGS site and I think it’s great. It’s like a combination of water heights and a Gazetteer. I love how you can zoom into an area. All streams don’t have gauges on them but you can get an idea of water heights by finding streams with gauges in the area. I’ve done it that way for years. I’m an old Boy Scout and found streams using a Gazetteer map before GPS so for me I love the new layout.

I'm still enjoying the legacy version while it is available.

The legacy version gives you the ability to quickly look at flows for the past week. The new one has to be clicked on to see the flows because it provides so little actual information without doing so. I admit that I don't love change but I really don't think that is the case here. The new graphs just don't provide the same information without tedious interaction. I guess they were trying to make it look cleaner but give me a damn grid and adequately labeled axes.
