Unami Creek - Montgomery County 4-26-2011

Fished the Unami tonight off of Swamp Creek Road from 6:15 or so til dark. Water was quite high and Ended up catching 6 stocked rainbows all on a tungsten beaded pheasant tail. Tried various other flies under the pheasant tail and had no strikes on anything else I tried. Missed probably 3 or 4 fish as well. No real hatches to speak of besides gnats and mosquitoes.

Haha the only thing they got rising was my blood pressure didn't see a single fish rise all night.

Kyle, how's that stretch of the Unami fish? I live nearby and I'm always up for somewhere else close to fish besides the Perky.

I really like the whole section on Swamp Creek Road. It has some huge boulders, deep pools and easy access. There are pulloffs all along the road. The water has been super high and muddy all spring so I am sure there are quite a few fish leftover. Let me know if you ever wanna meet up and fish it as it is less than 10min. from my house.
