Fished Turtle Creek from parking lot down to RR bridge (1 mile). Packed conditions around parking area. Left people behind within 1/3 of a mile.
Water slightly off color, flow was normal. No bugs in the air. All of my action was on pink/red glo balls. Pulled approximately 10 cookie cutter rainbows out of a run along an undercut bank.
This is the time of year to try crappy streams! Any structure that can hold fish WILL hold fish until it gets warm. So save your gas for the good hatches and enjoy some local close to home fishing while you can.
