Yesterday was a gorgeous day and I decided to run to the Tully. Flow was only 118 cfs. As low as I have ever fished it. Very good clarity. Was quite surprised to see a dark green gunk growing on all the stream bed virtually covering all the normal gravel and small cobble.
I only saw rising fish in one small area of a 200 yard section of the stream. There were at least one dozen, maybe more fish rising, most were just sipping. Once in awhile the rise form was much larger. All I saw in the air were very tiny white midges in the microscopic sizes. However I force fed them #22 parachute Adams on 7X and had quite a few takes. The glare was terrible resulting in me missing many eats.
