Fished the tully from about 3:45 to 6:30. Air temp was mid 60's and sunny with water temps at 57 and a flow of 229. Mainly concentrated on the paper mill hole making my way down through the hole. Caught a decent sulpher hatch but had no rising fish as often is the case with sulphers on the tully. Managed to land 7 fish with a mix of bows and browns in the standard cookie cutter size while hooking many others. all fish landed on caddis pupa.

Did you happen to notice if the RT were extra plump, extra colorful with nearly perfect fins or did they appear to be recently stocked fish?
The former would be from the fall adult stocking in that section and the latter would be fish that had moved a mile upstream or a mile downstream from the other spring stocked sections.

Last time I fished there during Sulphers I hooked up like 5 casts in a row with a bhpt.

I fished upstream of the Palisades last night from about 6 - dark. I ran into a great caddis hatch with trout rising with good regularity for almost the entire time. Many of them were fairly selective, but were willing to take a well presented EHC. All trout landed were rainbows. Most of them were in the 12 - 14 inch range, but a couple approached the 16" mark.
Don't want to hijack the thread but was out there last saturday. I must have dropped my license that was pinned on my pack. Someone was kind enough to mail it back to me. I would have never noticed. My faith in humanity was renewed. Part of why I love fly fishing. If the person who was so kind is on this thread, thanks!!!

Fished Palisades from about 5:30 - 7:30 last night (5/11/17). Big mistake. Figured after a rainy day the stream would be relatively empty. Four guys below and three guys above where I entered the stream. Should have went back to my car and headed home.
Went way above the upper guy to find nothing but frog water and of course more people further up at the Water Works. Blundered back downstream and by then the lower four guys were gone. Maybe they knew something. Just an occasional caddis fluttering about and they petered out by 7:00pm. Caught one trout on a swung pupa, missed another on top. Also caught a couple of bluegills. Far and away the worst evening I've had on the Tully in a long time. Maybe next week's warm up will get things going. Stream level and clariity are good right now. Didn't see any sulphurs.

I fished above Rebers Bridge on the 10th. Water was around 220 cfs decent clarity and only saw one husband and wife couple from 11 to 3:30.

Got bored and left at 3;30, left my boots on and drove down to the Papermill Pool and it was equally dead so I left for home. I have gone to the Tully once a week for the last month and have rarely seen any rising fish and have only caught a couple fish. I did see a fellow who posts a lot of videos on YouTube catch a brown, on a nymph, that I netted for him and measured at 22".
