Water temp still cold. Found some cooperative trout upstream from the bridge to no where. They were taking a size 18 beadhead walt's worm. Saw a couple of caddis coming off but nothing major. Another fly fisher said there was a good midge hatch in the morning. Water was stained with about 16" visibility

Water is disgustinglly stained...brown pea soup. In all my years fishing the tully I've never been so disgusted by the water clairity.

I was there yesterday and the water looked fine to me. Cold it was forty degrees. I only saw one guy catch one and he was spin fishing. I caught one nice football looking rainbow at Rebers.

It was like opening day there yesterday. Last weekend trip up there.

I was at the PaperMill hole on Sunday morning. Caught fish on sz 20 zebra midges under an indicator. Even caugh a few on sz 26 black dry midges and a few on size 20 BWO's. Had a blast!!

I guess its all relative and what one is accustomed too. But since I started fishing the stream in the 80s, I have noticed an ever increase in water issues (clairity, algae, etc). In my experiences over the years, the Tully typically runs fairly clear to a limestone greenish appearence. Since the late 90s, I've notice more "turbidity" and snotty like brown algae growth.

Last weekend I was standing knee deep and couldn't see my feet, that was how bad the clairity was.
