Fished the road to nowhere this evening. the creek is at a good flow now, down from as high as it was. There were a lot of caddis on, and some kind of light colored may fly. Surprisingly the fish weren't feeding on the surface but it was all underneath. I caught 6 rainbows in the riffle down stream of the bridge on a caddis nymph i invented myself that works extremely well on the tulpehocken creek. I was using 6 x tippet.

Nice work. I haven't seen anything but chubs out of that Creek this year. At least not caught. Every time I'm there at least one big bow leaps out of the water to tease me.

Also impressed by the 6x. I've been using 7x and still nothing. The water has been pretty high this year, and from what I hear the fish are fairly clustered.

Any special color on your nymph??

I was on the water last week once, my first time on it in quite a bit of time. My experience was very similar to Dave's, I think I got 5 on 5x. No risers.
