Headed out to the Tully yesterday (Good Friday). Fished downstream of the waterworks (after checking it out and finding it bereft of water). Bright, clear day not sure it made it much out of the 50s. Didn't take a water temperature, mostly because there was barely any water. USGS 1.26 feet. Wind made for challenging casting, but it let up now and then. Guy I talked to as he was leaving (the old "you should have been here an hour ago" . . . ) had taken a couple on small BWOs. Saw an osprey with a catch. But there were only very sporadic risers in what deeper water was left, and overall the stream looked in bad shape. Tried some caddis with tiny BWO emergers on point, no takers. There were some folks out, I can only hope the Corps lets some water out of the dam.

Trout are still abundant in some deeper locations. I suspect that they have in some cases moved and concentrated in those locations because of the low flow. One such location was fished by friends of mine last evening using lures. They had an excellent evening, with one going into double digits with the fish he caught. The fishing was so good that they "had to call" to tell me. They agreed with you about the exceptionally low flow, but I just checked the gauge and it looks like outflow is about equal to inflow when one takes into account the other tribs that flow into Blue Marsh aside from the Tully. The present flow is higher than it is during dry summers, when it often drops to 50 cfs.
