With cold snap up north, and turbine water my plans for day of Steelhead fishing did not come together, So I decided to hit Tully for mid day outing to take off pressure.
It started with bright sunny skies, little windy, and no fish wanting to play. Fished papermill down stream, at about 1PM, hit section above the bypass bridge that was holding some feeders. Proceeded to land 5/fish in about 45/minutes all in same hole. All takes on Cooper Johns, and another on brassie. 3/browns and 2/bows. Bows larger then browns. All in all good outing for few hours. Fly line was almost frozen at some points, eyes had to be cleared after 6/cast. No photo's to share, tried to release them quickly, net was solid block after landing my first fish. Fishing pressure was light.
