Does that necessarily mean that it's a fish that is capable of reproduction? I've caught lots of steelhead that dump their eggs on Erie tribs, I just assumed they were sterile so it didn't matter.Noticed it releasing a few remaining eggs in the pic where it’s being held. Good catch though.

Most likely was, although some of its fins look a bit healed over and other fins look pretty good for a recently stocked fish. Even if it was used as a brood fish in the hatchery in recent weeks, some eggs would remain and that’s what I likely spotted in the pic.
