I've been reading stream reports for the last 2 to 3 years but have never contributed anything. I thought I'd give it a try. The Tully is only 10 minutes from my home, so.... Just too easy not to go any where else. I only fished 3 times this year. Yesterday was the best day I had. Temp 72 at 8:30 in the am, water 68 according to US Geo Survey. Running aprrox. 275 cfs but much higher recently I thought it would be stirred up pretty badly. Saw a few trico's I think on the water when I arrived. Few other guys fishing at the water works. I waded down stream 100 yds and fished below a freshly fallen oak. Had seen 1 rise a few times, but took a while to convince him to take a 18 Griffin gnat. Very nice fat rainbow about 12 -14 inches. Caught a twin and finally a smaller brown about 10 - 12. All safely released in good condtition. All caught on the Griffin gnat. Just seem to be my go to bug when I not sure what they'll rise to. Good 2 hours on the Tully. Didn't see much other success in the other 3 fisherman on that section Sat. Good fishing.

i was on the tully sunday morning as well and fished at the first deflector just under the tree that crosses the stream and downstream 50 yards was there at 5;30 am till 9 am caught and released 5 healthy bows all around 15 inch mark hooked into one larger id say 18 - 20 incher but he was very strong and after a good fight snaped off my 7x floro tippet i had tied between my 2 flies had a real nice day. but the water is warming and the fish will be getting stressed soon. not much time left to fish the tully im affraid.
