Trout fishing short film dedicated to my late grandfather

Wanted to share this project I recently completed, featuring some miscellaneous clips from my spring season of small stream wild trout fishing in PA.

While I never had the opportunity to fly fish with my grandfather due to his declining health, I have fond memories of catching my first stocked trout with him on powerbait as a kid. I will always be grateful to him for helping instill a love of the outdoors.

I’m sure that a few of you will recognize some pictured locations - I just ask that you please not disclose them in this thread. I don’t want to get accused of becoming one of those pesky “spot burning YouTubers” 😉

I have to say, in a world where there are too many people trying their hand at fly fishing videos, this is the best one I've seen in QUITE a long time. Like years. I'd watch this style any day.

Awesome video, great job! Love the Floyd music. I've fished that native stream over 40 times. Caught my PB brookie in that stream. You caught some beauties too! Like dudeman said, it's one of the best videos I've seen in a loooong while.

Man, I am just speechless after watching that: in a totally good way!

That brought me some much needed peace of mind: after a 13 hr drive home yesterday in heavy traffic; after a long day at work today, sifting through the heaps of crap that piled up while I was away. (a sudden, and hard shifting of the gears to the less enjoyable things)

The wild rhododendrons in bloom, the ferns, the wildlife, the blue damsel fly even; these recently familiar things transported me back in time a week ago to my happy place: standing in an ice cold stream coming off the mountain. Thank-You!

Really loved that it also focused on other plants and animals that really for me, make the fishing experience . There are many trips I don't remember the fish I did or didn't catch but I remember the fawn or hawk plucking a trout from the stream . Great video !
