I fished Tom's Creek in DWGNRA yesterday from 130-4 pm. The area received about 2 inches of rain the day prior but Tom's is seldom "dirty". Water temp was in the mid 50's. Limited insect activity. I figured I could pull some of the larger browns from their hiding spots with streamers since the water was running higher than normal but I didn't get one aggressive take. I switched over to dries (brown caddis) after about an hour and started getting hits. All trout caught were browns and very small (6" range). Great foliage and beautiful day to take a 1/2 day off work.
