This morning I took a trip to the Tobyhanna creek. Fished below the Rt 115 bridge. Air temp was in the upper 30's and the water temp while I did not get a reading ,lets just say that my toes were numb after 4 hours of fishing. I hit the stream around 10 am and finished till around 2pm. Started out with a bhcj with a disc midge trailer both size 18. Hooked up with a nice brown probably 16 to 18" but he put the death roll on me and broke off about 2ft in front of me. Continued fishing with a bhcj with a warrior midge and picked up 2 nice rainbows on the bhcj, both around 12 or 14 inches. It was a beautiful day out and a nice break from my standard trips to the Little Lehigh.
Happy to report also that my new simms G4 Guide waders worked awsome and my new willy J stripping basket(retractable and doubles as a wading belt) worked great for putting fish in while I removed the hooks. Great purchase for $29.99.
