I agree that 5x or lighter makes sense for Delaware. Lots of fishing pressure and lots of water to let bigger fish run until they tire out.
Also when you can’t feel your legs because of the 42 degree tailwater release you tend to stop feeling as bad about playing a big fish a little longer. Ironically the biggest browns I’ve caught up there seem to almost know the score sometimes and relent fairly easily (probably bc they’ve been caught about 7000 times in the 6+ years they’ve been on earth). The rainbows on the other hand, forget it…
